We want WellnessChecked to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or high-contrast settings. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we've done
- We test pages with an automated accessibility checker (axe-core) at desktop and mobile widths.
- We've improved color contrast, underlined links in body text, added visible keyboard focus and a "Skip to content" link.
- Pages work at phone width without sideways scrolling, and text can be enlarged in your browser.
Known limitations
- Some comparison tables may be hard to navigate with a screen reader on small screens.
- Some older pages may still have headings that skip levels; we're fixing these as we update pages.
- Sites we link to are run by third parties and may not meet the same standard.
