This policy explains what personal data WellnessChecked collects through wellnesschecked.com, why, and your choices. "We" means the operator of WellnessChecked.
1. What we collect
- Contact form. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. Please don't include health details in your message.
- Analytics (only if you accept). If you click Accept on our cookie banner, Google Analytics sets cookies and records how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, and how you arrived. If you click Reject or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded.
- Your cookie choice. We store your Accept/Reject choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask on every page.
- Server logs. Our web host keeps standard logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting.
2. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for advertising or for unsolicited marketing.
3. Cookies and your choices
Google Analytics cookies (names beginning _ga) are set only after you click Accept. We've turned off Google signals and ad personalization in our Analytics settings. To change your choice, click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
4. Services we use
- Google Analytics (Google LLC / Google Ireland) — analytics, only with your consent. Data may be processed in the United States under Google's safeguards, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- Formspree (USA) — processes contact form messages on our behalf and passes them to us by email.
- Our web host — stores the website and server logs. The site's fonts are stored on our own server, so loading a page doesn't contact Google unless you accept analytics.
5. Affiliate links
When you click an affiliate link, you leave our site. The seller and its affiliate network may use cookies to record that you came from us so we can be paid a commission. Their privacy policies apply to what they collect; we don't receive your order or payment details.
6. How long we keep data
- Contact messages: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months.
- Server logs: as set by our host, usually a few weeks.
7. Your rights
If you're in the UK or EU, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
If you're in a US state with a privacy law (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Washington), you can ask what personal data we hold about you and ask us to delete or correct it. We don't sell or share personal data for targeted advertising. We don't knowingly collect consumer health data; please don't send health details through the contact form.
To make a request, use the contact form. We'll reply within one month.
8. Children
This site is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe a child has contacted us, tell us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
