Both come from the same company and both point to a published placebo-controlled trial, but they use completely different herbs and were tested on different problems.
If your main concern is erection quality, VigRX Plus is the closer fit, since its 2012 trial measured erectile function in men with mild to moderate ED. If your main concern is finishing too soon, ProSolution Plus is the one built around that, and its 2011 trial included premature ejaculation scores. Both trials were small, short and run by groups tied to the formulas, so neither product is proven. Neither is a treatment for erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation; see a doctor about persistent symptoms.
VigRX Plus and ProSolution Plus are both sold by Leading Edge Health, the same company, so this is less a brand rivalry than a choice between two products aimed at different problems. VigRX Plus is marketed mainly around erections, desire and satisfaction. ProSolution Plus is marketed mainly around ejaculation control, with erection quality as a secondary claim.
The formulas share no ingredients. VigRX Plus is built on traditional Western and Chinese aphrodisiac herbs like ginseng, ginkgo and damiana. ProSolution Plus uses Ayurvedic botanicals like ashwagandha, Mucuna pruriens and shilajit. Each has one published randomized trial, which is more than most products in this category can say, but both trials have real limits.

Two details are worth knowing. The VigRX Plus formula used in its 2012 trial had 11 ingredients, including Tribulus, Cuscuta and Epimedium, while the current site lists eight. And the ProSolution Plus trial tested a formula the paper calls E-MA-H, with seven herbal extracts that match the seven ingredients on the current ProSolution Plus site. The paper also tested a second version with two extra herbs.
The VigRX Plus trial was randomized, double-blind and placebo-controlled. Men took two capsules twice a day for 12 weeks, and the main measure was the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF). The erectile function score rose by an average of 9 points on VigRX Plus versus 0.61 on placebo, and the authors also reported gains in desire, orgasmic function and satisfaction. Our article on whether VigRX Plus works goes deeper on what those numbers mean.
The limits: only 75 men finished, all were relatively young and healthy, the placebo group barely moved, and the published paper has no clear funding statement.
The ProSolution Plus trial randomized 148 men into four groups for 60 days: placebo, a low dose of E-MA-H, a higher dose of E-MA-H, and the E-MA-HP version. It measured the IIEF and an Index of Premature Ejaculation (IPE). All three active groups improved more than placebo on both. For example, IPE scores went from about 26.5 to 30.3 on placebo and from about 27.2 to 36.9 on the low dose.
The limits here are different but just as important:
We cover the ProSolution Plus paper in more detail in our breakdown of the ProSolution Plus clinical study.
In both trials, side effects were reported at similar rates on the supplement and on placebo, and they were mostly mild. In the ProSolution Plus study, stomach complaints like acidity, gas and upset stomach were the most common in every group, including placebo. That is reassuring, but trials this small and short can miss less common problems.
The herbs raise different concerns. VigRX Plus contains ginkgo and ginseng, which can affect bleeding and blood sugar, so men on blood thinners or diabetes medicines need to check first. ProSolution Plus contains ashwagandha, which can interact with thyroid, blood pressure, diabetes and sedative medicines, and Mucuna, which naturally contains L-dopa and is a concern for anyone taking Parkinson's medicines or MAO inhibitor antidepressants. Our guides to VigRX Plus side effects and ProSolution Plus side effects list who should avoid each one.
If you take any prescription medicine, have a heart condition, or have ongoing erection problems, talk to your doctor before trying either. Erection problems can be an early sign of heart or blood vessel disease.
When we checked the official sites in October 2026, VigRX Plus listed a one-month supply at as low as about $62 and a three-month supply at as low as about $52 a month. ProSolution Plus listed a one-month supply at $69. Its multi-month package prices on the cart page did not add up consistently with the savings shown, so confirm the total at checkout before you pay.
Both use the same style of guarantee: try two containers over 60 days, then return the empty containers so they arrive within 67 days of delivery. Shipping is not refunded and refunds are limited to one order per customer. Our supplement money-back guarantee guide explains how to avoid missing that kind of deadline.
Do not take both together without asking a doctor or pharmacist. That doubles the number of herbs and the chance of an interaction, and neither trial tested the combination.
For premature ejaculation in particular, Mayo Clinic lists behavioral techniques, pelvic floor exercises, numbing products, counseling and some prescription options. Those have a stronger evidence base than any herbal blend, and a doctor can help you sort out which fits.
These two products are not really competitors. VigRX Plus is aimed at erection quality and has a small trial in younger men with mild to moderate ED. ProSolution Plus is aimed at ejaculation control and has a larger but developer-run trial with some unusual dose results. Pick the one that matches your main concern, buy from the official site so the 67-day guarantee applies, and keep your expectations modest. Neither is a treatment for ED or premature ejaculation, and if the problem is persistent, a doctor's visit is the better first step.
